Grace Homer

Homer was a painter and teacher, born in Liverpool. She attended Liverpool College of Art in the 1940s, where her teachers included Will Penn. She went on to teach locally, notably at the Mabel Fletcher Technical College, following a period of teaching art at the Liverpool School for the Blind.


Homer was also a talented embroiderer, and won a prize in the International Poliomyelitis Embroidery Competition in 1958.
