Dates: Monday 22nd June - Friday 3rd July 2026
In conjunction with Classic Art London, Darnley Fine Art is delighted to announce the second edition in a series of exhibitions highlighting the artworks of women artists. Following on from the first in the series, which took place early last year, this new exhibition will bring a more diverse range of artists from across the centuries, celebrating female artists who are often overlooked in the annals of art history.
This exhibition will bring together works from celebrated women such as Mary Beale, Adriana Verelst and Henrietta Rae Normand, as well as underappreciated but highly accomplished artists including Hulda D Robbins and Lillian Stannard.
Highlights include two exceptional works by renowned portrait artist and scholar, Mary Beale: Portrait of a Lady with a Guitar and Portrait of James, Duke of York; as well as a work by acclaimed Victorian artist Henrietta Rae Normand, titled Her Eyes are Homes of Silent Prayer.
