We are just a stone’s throw from the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery

Darnley Fine Art was established in 2007 by Adrian Pett. He draws on his experience of working in London at a major gallery and at an auction house. Darnley Fine Art holds an extensive stock of fine paintings spanning the Sixteenth to the Twenty-First Centuries. We are a leading specialist in nineteenth Century Orientalist paintings of the Middle East and of lithographs by David Roberts (1796 – 1864). We also specialise in portraits and are the only gallery dealing in original paintings for railway posters from the 1920/30s.

Over the years we have made some important discoveries that have shed fresh light onto artists’ work.

We also represent the contemporary artist, Jeremy Andrews, whose works now grace many important collections.

When dealing with clients we pride ourselves on employing a high level of discretion and welcome their trust placed in us which has helped to build worldwide collections.

Our website reflects a flavour of the range of works we have available at any one time.

We have sold artworks to museums and public institutions throughout the world and have lent items to feature in major museum exhibitions, in addition to contributing to the  catalogue raisonné on artists.

Experts in our field

We have an extensive knowledge in these fields and advise clients on starting or adding to their collection, providing a detailed background to each artist’s work.

Advice is also given on other important aspects of acquisition such as framing, hanging, insurance and the maintenance of works of art.
