Female Artists Exhibition

Female Artists Exhibition

Darnley Fine Art is pleased to announce an upcoming exhibition showcasing the works of several acclaimed female artists from the 17th Century to the 20th Century, featuring a selection of paintings and drawings, many of which have not been displayed publicly for decades.

This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view paintings by some of the period’s most celebrated artists, including Annie Swynnerton, Dod Procter, Evelyn De Morgan, and Nina Hamnett. These artists have been prominently featured in major galleries such as the Royal Academy, The National Portrait Gallery, and the Venice Biennale.

Exhibition highlights include the never seen before Portrait of Anthony Butts by Nina Hamnett, a recently discovered work by the acclaimed ‘Queen of Bohemia’ as well as the newly discovered Portrait of Mrs. Catherine Croft by Mary Beale. Additionally, a selection of works unseen for years including British painter Annie Swynnerton’s Self Portrait and Study of a Standing Female Nude by Evelyn De Morgan, one of the first women to enrol into the Slade School of Art.

This exhibition will run between the 2nd to the 14th of December
